Roberto Pignataro (1928-2008) was an Argentine Informalist artist, whose career took place between the early 1950s and early 1980s. He was known for his original composition techniques, his virtuoso use of color, and the enigmatic nature of his work.

This event also presents an opportunity for the public to learn about the 1960’s Argentine art scene, with Pignataro’s work representing the talent and passion of a generation producing art in an era of intense socio-cultural change and political turmoil.
